ABOUT US

Our club meets every Tuesday at 7:15 am at the
Cataraqui Golf & Country Club.
961 King Street West, Kingston, Ontario

Who We Are:

We were chartered in 1985. Our Club is one of three in the Greater Kingston area. We have over 50 members and pride ourselves on our diversity and the application of the "Rotary Ideal". We belong to Rotary International District 7040, which includes portions of Ontario, Quebec and New York State.

Voluntary contributions and fund-raising activities allow our club to contribute to the many international projects of the Rotary Foundation and to support our own numerous projects, both locally and internationally.

Apart from fostering the Ideal of Rotary among our membership, we sponsor special events, contributions and programs which assist non-members in need, support worthwhile community causes and promote international understanding and goodwill. Our special pride is our support of the Rotary Program for Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), where we sponsor selected young people from our community to attend an intensive one week, intern seminar on leadership and interpersonal skills.

Activities that we support in the Kingston community include the Children's Cancer Conference, erection of playground equipment at Beechgrove Children's Centre, and construction of a shelter at the Cataraqui Conservation Area.

Other projects include sponsorship of the Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships, which pays virtually all expenses for a university student to study at a university abroad, foreign youth exchange for high school students, the Boys and Girls Club, and the list is growing. Indeed the list of our endeavors to strengthen the community, along with national and international understanding, is an ever expanding document that we will continue to add to for many years to come.
