MUSIC

  1. The completed registration form must be completed in full, signed by the respective teacher, and returned to the Rotary Club (address on the bottom of the registration form).  The completed form and payment must be received BY MAIL no later than Friday, April 18th, 2008.
  2. All performers must be students in local high schools.
  3. All performers are responsible for their own setup and tear down of any equipment.
  4. If CD is to be provided for background music, it must be provided at least one hour prior to the performance.
  5. The performers must have been submitted by the sponsoring high school, and have been reviewed by a representative of the high school.
  6. No lip singing – the vocals must be the performers only.
  7. No swearing, rude lyrics or inappropriate body language, or inappropriate dress.
  8. Each performance will be no longer than 4 minutes.  Timing will be exact, and points will be deducted for performances over 4 minutes.
  9. The performers will be required to introduce their music prior to their performance.
  10. NEW The top 3 will perform a second time, a DIFFERENT PIECE, the night of the Gala Dinner FOR FINAL JUDGING.
  11.  NEW If a student has won 1st Place in the last 2 years, they cannot enter this year.

VISUAL ART AND PHOTOGRAPHY

  2. All artists must be students in local high schools.
  3. All artists and photographers are required to provide their own easel for display on both days.
  4. The performers must have been submitted by the sponsoring high school, and have been reviewed by a representative of the high school.
  5. Each piece of art must be flat and no bigger than 24”wide and 48” high.
  6. The title must be on front of artwork, and the artist name must NOT appear on the front of art work, but must be labeled on back with title of work, artist’s name, school name and phone number.
  7. Students sign a release that we can use their artwork in future promotions.
  8. Nothing crude or suggestive “keep it clean”.
  9. NEW All artists and photographers will be required to be present during judging at the specified times. 
  10. NEW If a student has won 1st Place in the last 2 years, they cannot enter this year.
