Cultural Cravings is a program that our club funded through the Community Service grants program.

Almost Home and YGK Thrift

Almost Home is a home-away-from home for families with ill or injured children, a place of comfort and respite for families whose children are receiving medical treatment in Kingston area hospitals. Almost Home operates YGK Thrift, a clothing store. All proceeds support Almost Home. Sayward Berry splits her time between the home and the thrift story so will give an overview of what the home means to families who stay there and the story of the thrift store that supports the home June 8 update: POSTPONED, new date to be arranged |

From Ryandale Transitional Housing We’re excited to invite you to the Palmerston Neighbourhood BBQ!
This will be a BBQ potluck, so if you’re able to bring a side dish or dessert to share, that would be wonderful. We will be providing hotdogs, hamburgers, and drinks. Homes for Heroes Foundation

Homes For Heroes’ tiny home village in Kingston is a place of community, camaraderie, and celebration. Opened in June 2024, the Kingston Veterans’ Village was made possible through the support of all levels of government, national stakeholders, local businesses, social groups, and individuals across Canada. The local steering committee, led by Mark Hutchings, played an instrumental role in the success of this project. The village’s design pays homage to Kingston’s beautiful architecture, featuring 20 tiny homes, a resource center, case manager offices, therapy rooms, community gardens, and outdoor recreation spaces.
