Kingston's only independent movie theatre.

The Screening Room is a 3-screen independent movie theatre located in the heart of downtown Kingston, Ontario. Since 2011, the cinema has been locally owned & operated by Wendy Huot. She took over from Terry, who owned & ran the cinema for the 10 years prior. Dan Wannemacher founded and built the theatre in the mid-1990’s.

We last had Wendy speak to us pre-Covid. She’s back to tell us what’s happened in the movie landscape since then.
