March 1 was the annual launch of the March Easter Seals Month for our club. Dave Short and Linda Clouthier from the Rotary Club of Kingston were on hand to provide information about Easter Seals in our region.
They shared information and new initiatives from Easter Seals, including the establishment of Voyageur Camp, a camp for Easter Seals kids when the age out of the traditional Easter Seals Camp. It serves adults from 19 to 39 years of age.
On of the highlights was a talk by Nicole, an Easter Seals mom. She meets the challenges with raising a child with physical challenges with a great attitude and sense of humour.
